The first images of Violand Braçellari at the Korça Regional Hospital have emerged, shortly after he was injured during the police operation that ended with the killing of the "Eagle" force officer, Enea Mekolli, and the wounding of his colleague, Edison Adri.

According to preliminary information, the police had located Braçellari in an isolated mountainous area in Lozhan, Maliqi, where he is suspected of having been hiding for a long time to evade justice. During the intervention to arrest him, the situation deteriorated into an exchange of fire between the wanted man and the police officers.

The collision killed 34-year-old Enea Mekolli, while Edison Adri was injured. Braçellari himself was also injured and was transported to the hospital under strict security measures to receive medical treatment.

Braçellari has a criminal record in the field of narcotics. He was convicted years ago for the production and sale of narcotics, while he was previously wanted for the cultivation of narcotic plants.

Meanwhile, the condition of the injured officer Edison Adri is being monitored by doctors. After first aid in Korça, it has been decided that he will be transferred to Tirana for more specialized treatment.
