Finding no peace from the collapse of stones, Rama 'sells' the Arbri Road as a success story: I will also make the road to the EU the same way

Finding no peace from the collapse of stones, Rama 'sells' the Arbri

The country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, during a meeting with citizens in Dibër, spoke about the infrastructural transformations carried out during his government, describing the Arbri Road as one of the most important projects for connecting the area with Tirana.

According to him, projects like the Arbri Road are evidence of a different approach, where the state intervenes to better connect the territory and citizens. He added that this road, which connects Dibra with Tirana, was not built for electoral purposes, but to correct a historical lack of infrastructure and to bring the country's areas closer together.

He even added that just as he did the Arber route, he will also do the EU membership route.

"Our history of the SP is one with the history of the country and what you see in the history of the SP is reflected in the history of the country. When the SP was massacred, its votes were stolen, its rights were violated, Albania went downhill and Albanians paid the price, because their votes were taken away, while Albanians had their wealth taken away, they were taken out into the streets and the pyramids of Sude collapsed."

Every time the Arbri Road was promised, it was never done. We said we would do it and we did as we said. Just as we did not back down when geology came against us and blocked us at the Murriz Tunnel, so we have done and will do the path to EU membership and that tunnel will finally open for Albania and Albanians.

"Dibra has become the green cushion of Tirana. We did not build the Arbri Road to take votes from the people of Dibra, we did not do it because in all the documents it appeared as a road with great benefits, but we did it because the absence of that road was the biggest gap between a state and a part of its population. We could not leave a part of the population divided, especially a region like this that has given a lot to Albania," Rama said, writes politiko.al.

However, regarding this road axis, the media has reported many times that rock masses have collapsed, blocking vehicle traffic in both directions. The incident usually occurred in the area known as “Shkalla e Tujanit”, a few kilometers from the exit of Tirana, causing temporary disruption of movement in this important segment.
